I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter!
This year Easter was especially important to me because I was confirmed into the Catholic church during Easter Vigil on Saturday night.

The Mass was wonderful and receiving communion for the first time was a really special experience. I have been attending RCIA classes each week after Mass to learn more about the Catholic faith since September.
Unlike others going through this process with me, I wasn't raised with any type of religion. I was baptized in the Episcopal church, but other than that I had never attended a day of church in my life. Not only did I go into this not knowing about the Catholic religion, but I really knew nothing about religion in general. Needless to say this has been a HUGE learning experience for me, and I know that I still have a long ways to go. I have grown and changed so much in the past year, and I know that making God a part of my life has been the reason why.
Why did I choose Catholicism? Well, my husband is Catholic. I attended Mass with him a few times while we were dating and during the first year we were married, and although it was intimidating at first I slowly started to feel more comfortable. The more I learned about it, the more I liked it. Eventually I just knew that it was the right choice for me.

I am so happy that I embarked on this journey, and I look forward to continuing my education and strengthening my faith.

I hope everyone has a great week, and I will try and post about our recent trips with my parents soon!
