My Paris Bucket List

Tuesday, October 22, 2013

You've probably seen me mention the girls trip to Paris that I've been planning.

Well today is the day!

We are off to one of my favorite cities in the world at this very moment.

I've already shared some of my favorite things about Paris here, but now it's time to add to the list!

Here is my Paris Bucket List:

Macarons at Laduree
I don't think this needs much explanation.
A trip to Paris isn't complete without a visit to Laduree.

La Sainte-Chapelle
I've heard this chapel is absolutely gorgeous.
It's known for it's amazing stained glass, and it's definitely something I don't want to miss on this trip.

The Palace of Versailles
I missed out on Versailles the last time I went to Paris, and was seriously bummed about it.
This time around there will be no excuses!
I can't wait to see how Versailles compares to the other royal residences I've seen.

A picnic in front of La Tour Eiffel
I want more than a photo op.
I want to really enjoy the Eiffel Tower and take in the view for a bit.
It sounds like a glorious way to relax, and I am determined to make time for it.

Pierre Herme
I want to try these famous macarons and see how they compare to my beloved Laduree.
I've heard mixed opinions on the matter, and want to make up my own mind.
Will I be team Pierre or team Laduree?

Any suggestions for our trip?

Au revior for now!

  1. I had the chance to visit Paris, Florence & Rome with my mother-in-laws group of ELEVEN high school seniors (she is a teacher), all in 7 days and i dream of going back! We had to cram so much into those days that we missed a lot of things I wanted to see (and I'd love to go back without having to chaperone all those 17 to 18 year-old's). My favorite thing (besides the beautiful light show on the Eiffel at night) was eating crepes in Montmartre. Such a beautiful area!

  3. When it comes to choosing the perfect holiday destination, Paris always comes first for me. Everyone loves Paris and why not as it is one of the most famous and attractive tourist destinations in this world. If you love art and monuments, then Paris is the perfect place for you. The Eiffel tower, all the museums, Macarons at Laduree, and Pierre Herme are amazing places in Paris and without visiting these, a trip to Paris cannot be complete. There are also some beautiful apartments around this gorgeous metropolitan city such as http://www.parisapartmentsbynumbers.com/ which provide luxury facilities and make you feel as if you are living in your own home. Hence, Paris is perfect for a travel destination in all aspects.
