How far along: 12 weeks
Gender: No idea
Weight gain: 3 pounds
Sleep: Terrible. I can't get comfortable and I wake up a million times a night.
Cravings: Nothing particular
Movement: Not yet
Things I miss: Feeling good, having energy
Looking forward: I'm excited to start doing more with Jacob now that I'm starting to feel better.
I came to the conclusion that weekly bumpdates just aren't very realistic this time around, so I thought I would aim for monthly.
I'm about 3 months along right now, and my little bump is just starting to show.
Most of my jeans have to be held together with a hair tie because I can no longer button them.
I still feel pretty sick when I first wake up in the morning, and I am super tired most of the time.
I have good days and bad days, but the good days seem to be happening more and more often.
Now that I'm out of my first trimester I'm starting to get really excited about this new addition to our family.
Not to say that I wasn't thrilled when I found out we were expecting, but I've been in survival mode these past couple of months- trying to keep myself, Jacob, and the house all held together.
I am looking forward to finding out the gender (which won't be until 19 weeks) so that I can get started on the nursery and all the other planning that I love so much.
People ask me if I have any feelings on what the gender will be, and my answer is no.
I literally have no idea.
I was 80% sure Jacob was going to be a girl last time, so I think I've proved to myself that I really have no intuition when it comes to these things.
It's going to be just Jacob and I for a couple of weeks while Jake is away for business, so I've been making a mental list of fun activities for us to do. Now that he's almost 14 months getting out of the house everyday is super important, and he needs activities where he is running around and stimulated like crazy.
Hopefully the two of us will have some fun while Dad is away!
